Our Mission Statement
At the Harris, we offer high quality education within a friendly establishment where all people matter, pupils, staff, parents and governors.
Our aim is that children should make the most of the opportunities presented to them. We provide a secure and happy environment in which every child can reach his or her full potential in academic, creative, physical, moral and social development. In all these aspects of each child’s growth, we promote excellence and reward achievement, however small the individual step of progress.
A firm partnership between home and school, based on open communication, trust and mutual respect, is essential to this. We seek to draw strength from the community around us and also to share with it some of our enthusiasm for learning and care for others.
To support these aims we intend to maximise the opportunities given to all staff for learning and development so that, in turn, they can fulfill their potential and contribute fully towards the school aims.
If your child attends one of our primary schools then he or she will have the opportunity to visit us during the year with their teachers. If your child does not attend one of our primary schools, please take advantage of our offer to show you round our school and answer your questions about the education we are proud to offer.
