Harris Middle caters for children from nine to thirteen years of age.
The Year Groups are in the overall control of the Year Co-ordinators, who deal with pastoral problems and the daily organisation. The Co-ordinators, in consultation with the Headteacher and Deputy Head, have oversight of all aspects of work, behaviour and care of the children in their year.

The detail of all aspects of schooling for individual children is in the hands of the class-teacher who, with about twenty-six to thirty children in their class, have the opportunity to know them closely.
The organisation of individual school subjects (Maths, English etc.) is in the hands of a Subject Co-ordinator, who ensures the continuity and quality of the subject in the school. The Co-ordinator is also responsible for consultation with our colleagues in the Primary, High and other Middle Schools.

| “I thought that I would get lost when I came to Harris but in no time at all I felt that I knew the school really well. Everyone was willing to help when I needed anything and I soon felt that I had always gone here.” (Year Five Pupil) |
