School meals of an excellent standard are cooked on the premises. Standard cost £1:80p excluding drink to be paid daily at the checkout. It is helpful if, each day, you give your child exactly the amount of money. Year groups rotate the order for sittings on a half-termly basis in order to make the availability of choice fair. You are welcome to visit the school at lunchtime and to sample the fare. Free meals are available to those children whose parents receive Income Support or Job-Seekers Allowance. If you think that you qualify for this apply to the Childrens and Young People's Services, Clapham House, Clapham Road, Lowestoft.

Provision is made for children to eat a packed lunch brought from home. Drinks are on sale to all children but if drink is sent as part of a packed lunch an unbreakable container is requested and no fizzy drinks please. Children who bring a packed lunch may still use the cafeteria to 'top-up' their lunch.

We hope that you will support us in allowing just one of two possible arrangements for lunchtimes:

Either:

Your child goes home for lunch and comes back just in time for afternoon school (parental permission slips required);

Or:

Your child stays on the school premises for a school lunch or a packed lunch.

Please do not allow or encourage your child to visit local shops at lunchtime.

Parents will be informed if their child leaves the school premises without permission or continually misbehaves at lunchtimes.
